The obvious cheap solution of making a new colour of hero challenges in Cantha that give 20, 50 or even 100 points each (and have the new spec cost 500/1250/2500 points) is also weird, with players coming to the game now and buying a pack of all 3 expansions effectively getting the HoT and PoF specs unlocked for free along with doing the EoD one.

The manuals are a relic of the old system which allowed you to spend points in a traitline - so they got nothing to do with hero points and therefore won't do anything if consumed as far as I can tell.
