Tried a new battery, tried bending the contacts to the battery up a bit..nothing. Just got home. After I got out of my car, I tried it again, still didn't work.
ive had a look for a discussion about this but can’t seem to find it, but basically I have a focus 1.0 Ecoboost on a 62 plate. Currently with 76,000 on the clock. I’ve noticed a tapping noise coming from my engine when I am idling at 750rpm, when I rev it upto 800/900 the tapping disappears. A number of the complaints registered with the NHTSA suggest that the drivers experiencing transmission and engine issues have already had the recalls addressed, which would imply that Ford’s work addressing the transmission and engine troubles in the 2017 Focus may not be entirely finished. In 2017, the Ford Focus sold an estimated 158,385 Your engine temperature sensor is responsible for relaying your engine temp to the ECU. Once the temp gets so hot, the ECU commands the radiator fan to come on. If your Focus has a bad engine temp sensor the radiator fan won’t know to come on, because the ECU won’t know how hot the engine is. You’ll need to locate and test the engine temp Opened the air filter box and saw signs of oil in the filter, there was also small signs near the turbo and up in the hose clips which are broken but modified by the mechanic do to the job! Last two regular services were done: 10 months ago (air filter was clean back then), and last service was done 5 months ago. Name: David. Ford Model: Fiesta Ecoboost 125. Ford Year: 2013. If it had gas before the recharge we take it has not worked after I would need to know what the static pressures are and then the hi and low pressures with AC switched on.
The fact of the matter is you now require a new engine and you will be extremely unlikely to get anyone to make any kind of financial contribution for the replacement. A brand new Ford 1.0 Ecoboost engine can be bought from Puma Speed for around £1999. They also offer a supply and fit of a new engine for about £2999 but of course you will
I have the Focus 1.0l ecoboost 2013 and when purchased the salesman was very upfront saying for the stop/start function would only work so long as the engine was warm and the battery was in good condition, fully charged and little drain on it. I.e lights air- con heated windscreen etc. Evening gents, was coming off a slip road Saturday evening car bogged and a hissing sound came from bonnet, completely lost all power from the turbo and keep getting intermittent flashing of the low oil pressure light.done and oil change yesterday, still getting a bit of a whooshing sound, low oi The 3 cylinder ecoboost is a modern, lightweight and compact engine, it is well designed and if properly serviced should last for years, there is no reason it should "give up the ghost" and "it isnt big enough to support the amount of power it uses" does not really mean anything - otherwise stock 1.0L ecoboost engines have been mapped to 150Hp, with no immediate problems You should be able to squeeze 200hp from 1l turbo whit "relative" ease. ( durability is whole different story). But - personally i i'm more interested about the 140hp variant of the 1l ecoboost. According to ford ETIS there is 140hp 1l ecoboost available, and it would be nice to find way to "unlock" it on the 125hp model.
Press hazard lights 3 times. Wait to see the battery light flash on dash (10 seconds roughly) Switch ignition off. It may be that your battery does not have enough charge in it. As an example, we also have a Citroen with Start/Stop, and if below 72-73% charged, the start/stop will not function.
The outside temperature was 5c, so hardly a warm day. The traffic moved a foot or two every 30 seconds and I was stuck in it for around half an hour. I looked at my dashboard and saw the temperature needle was past half way and just under the overheat area. This is the first time it’s done this. I’m aware of the hose issues with the QsaFJHQ.
